You might think this is a highly optimistic article in these times…and you’d be right!
The silver lining that we’re taking from 2020 is that our brides have extra time to save, plan and get excited about their gorgeous wedding.
And with that in mind, we’d like to introduce you to some of our favourite wedding venues in the Cotswolds. So, when the time comes to book a date, you know exactly where you’d like your wedding to take to place.
And don’t forget, if you’re going ahead with an intimate wedding with your nearest and dearest, most Covid-secure venues would love to host your wedding…right now! Give them a call, book a virtual tour and let them explain how your wedding will look and feel in 2020.
Ah, Lapstone Barn…you’re just the dreamiest! The rural setting with perfectly manicured lawns as far as the eye can see, the honey-coloured stone barn with floor to ceiling glass and the food (dear God, the food!) If you’re dreaming of a traditional, elegant wedding set in the most beautiful location then it doesn’t get much better than this. Lapstone say ‘If you can dream it, we can create it.’ And I’ve seen it happen with my own eyes! The team here are just incredible.
Now, if you’re looking for something a little different, Twyning Park has all the grandeur of a grade II listed country house – but offers some unique options too. So, if it’s an intimate elopement wedding, or a huge bash you’re holding out for, Twyning has you covered. A marquee in the meadow on the banks of the river Avon, a stunning secret garden, the tiered lawn or a tepee! Twyning have gone all out on elopement wedding options – give them a call.
If ever a venue was made for a quirky, alternative Covid-secure wedding, it’s here. I’ve seen one or two weddings in my time, and I would describe Homme House as magical. Movie set, dream wedding, all out spectacular…magical. I dare you to go to the website and not be memorised for longer than you have time for! This is a family-owned and family run venue and you can feel it. The lovely team here are offering video consultations and virtual tours at the moment. Let them welcome you to Homme.
We’re so lucky to have these amazing venues on our doorstep, and so many more that I could write about for days.
And even though things are uncertain at the moment, knowing the teams at these three venues – I would say get in touch and have a really honest chat with them.
Whether that’s about postponement, elopement or setting a date for the 2021 and beyond.
The teams are so passionate about weddings and making your day special that I know from experience that they will go all out to help you.
I have everything crossed for a spring 2021 vaccine and for weddings to go ahead in full swing. But if that doesn’t happen, please know that I really do feel for you. My heart has been broken for my brides this year as well as my friends in the industry.
So, let’s keep positive and help each other. We might just have to embrace 2021 as the year of the alternative wedding. And like Lapstone say ‘if you can dream it, we can create it.’
